Putnam County Sheriff’s Department officers say they responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a residence in the Town of Patterson on Saturday, June 1 around 4 a.m.
Further investigation revealed that the male suspect involved in the dispute had fled the scene in a vehicle and an auto accident occurred, according to police.
Officers were able to locate the vehicle and confirm that it was involved in a one-car accident, police say.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as Marcus Rohim, 30, of Patterson, was determined to be the suspect involved in the reported dispute, according to police.
Further questioning confirmed that Rohim was under the influence of cocaine and had violated a Temporary Order of Protection, police say.
Rohim was arrested and transported to the Putnam County Correctional Facility for processing, where he was charged with:
- Second-degree criminal contempt, a Class A misdemeanor
- Fourth-degree criminal mischief (two counts), a Class A misdemeanor
- Second-degree reckless endangerment, a Class A misdemeanor
- Endangering the welfare of a child (two counts), a Class A misdemeanor
- Third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor
- Driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor
Rohim was arraigned by the Hon. Justice Anthony Mole of the Town of Patterson Court. He was remanded to the Putnam County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,500.00 cash bail or $3,000.00 bail bond.
Rohim is scheduled to appear in Patterson Justice court on a future date.
